Congratulations to the New Home Men's Basketball team who won the double-elimination tournament in the Seven-Lakes Baptist Church league! The league included three teams from Seven Lakes and one from First Baptist Southern Pines.
Succesful Egg Hunt
The annual egg hunt was a huge success. God blessed us with wonderful weather and there was a good turnout of
parents and their children.
A special thanks to everyone who made this event possible for our children.
Easter Sunrise Service
Easter Services began with a sunrise service at the cemetery. The men cooked up and served a good
breakfast afterwards and everybody enjoyed some Christian fellowship as well. This was followed by Sunday
School and a regular worship service.
A special thanks to all the men who showed up very early to cook up a hot breakfast.
The youth group recently attended a weekend retreat at the North Carolina Baptist Assembly facility
at Fort Caswell on Oak, Island, NC. Six youth attended, escorted by two chaperones.
Jeremy Kingsley was the keynote speaker. His overall theme was
humility and service. He shared much of the message from his soon-to-be-released book entitled, "Be Last." All the youth were drawn closer to the Lord and dedicated themselves to setting aside a a quiet time each day to grow spiritually. One of our Youth even started a lunch-time Bible Study at at New Century Middle School!
